Strategy and Implementation
Each search destination has its own unique algorithm for ranking pages on the web. Once a list of targeted keywords is developed, our search engine experts develop custom "landing pages" for each search engine.
Our search engine experts continually monitor search algorithms, and therefore are able to design pages to accommodate each one. For each targeted keyword phrase we tailor a set of pages that are designed to rank highly at each of the major search destinations.
Search engines use specialized software known as “spiders” that automatically scan websites and recognize keywords and common themes, and rank them accordingly. Through the use of proprietary software, Tahoe Media Group is able to serve up different versions of the same page based on which search engine a request originated from, and therefore accommodate each spider's unique ranking algorithm. If the request originates from a person browsing the web with the aid of a search engine, a page is served offering information and links relevant to the term searched for.
What distinguishes our approach to search engine optimization is that we do not optimize a site exclusively for search algorithms. Our efforts make the site more effective for humans browsing online as well.
Optimization
Our proprietary search engine tracking system also provides valuable insights that are used to optimize all of Tahoe Media Group’s efforts on behalf of the client. By learning which keywords and which portals draw the most qualified search result traffic, our media department can focus media placement and keyword buys on the same keywords and portals Similarly, upon acquiring data regarding the most qualified users and what they are seeking online, the creative team can use this information to optimize the messaging in banners, emails and site content.
Site Submission
Our search engine experts possess a deep understanding of how and where users look for information online, as well as how those destinations feed search engine databases. A comprehensive site submission strategy, which involves submitting a client's website and our Search Engine Landing Pages to the major search destinations, is essential to the success of any online promotion campaign.
Reporting
Software, which serves tailored versions of pages to search spiders and users, also allows comprehensive tracking of search engine results — not just through increased traffic, but through actual conversions as well. TMG ’s search engine tracking system can follow the trail backwards and determine the percentage of user sign-ups, which link and on which Search Engine landing page they clicked on, and what keywords were searched for at which search engine.(previous sentence is very confusing) This reporting allows us to generate detailed data and calculate the ROI of our efforts.
